The 4 Ws and 1 H of LIES

Lies are an increasingly worrying problem in society nowadays and honesty is fast becoming a history act.
HAVENT YOU ALL HEARD OF 'honesty is the best policy'

WHAT?
A lie is a false statement made with deliberate intent to deceive; an intentional untruth; a falsehood.

WHO?
Well sadly speaking EVERBODY LIES! but its just the matter of the degree and intensity(proven by science again)
Thus, it is unavoidable,
A liar is a person who is lying, who has previously lied, or who tends by nature to lie repeatedly - even when not necessary

HOW?
Its been taught to us by the media, society and our own parents with even small white lies like bargaining, lies to make children understand adult concepts which develops us into LIARS

WHEN?
Children start lying typically from 4-5 years old

WHY?
There are many reasons why people Lie and it can be harmless or negative.
But the core reason is to SURVIVE and science proves that by stating that lying is an evolutionary process begining from apes-in order to be saved and simply survive ....

Is it OK?
In my opinion it depends on the situation, USSUALLY NO! but on certain situations like the ones in RED below, i feel its better to LIE.
However, ISLAM rejects lying as stated in the Holy Quran that Liars are destroying their own souls by doing so but it all depends on a persons actual intentions and reasons.

Types:
-It can be to omit certain information
This phenomenon is called Careful Speaking or using carefully-phrased statements to give a 'half-answer' which is still misleading but not an outright lie.
-A white Lie
A white lie would cause only relatively minor discord if it were uncovered, and typically offers some benefit to the hearer such as "Im doing fine, thank you" and thats the most common lie
-To maintain a secret
"i dont know the secret!" when we all know he does
-To maintain a reputation
how much did he scored? lie: an A i guess- when actually we know the guy failed
-To avaid punishment or repercussions
why were u late? lie: "Teacher let me out late" I think u shld just tell the truth and face the punishment like a man!
-To protect someone's feelings
"You look great and not fat at all" Or "Everything is going to be alright".
-Lies we dont even know we are comiting.
such as "I will need 5 minutes of your time"
-Exagerations
Strecthing the truth such as "I saw the ugliest girl in the world"
-To deceive others (Criminal-Perjury,Farud,Defamation / Non-Criminal)

Typical Lying Careers
A lawyer-its part of his duty to protect his client at all cost
A bussninessman?- The seller of a product or service may advertise untrue facts about the product or service in order to gain sales, especially by competitive advantage and influence a buy
Lie Detection-
There are a few ways to Detect Lies
-A polygraph lie detector machine- which detects stress and pulse level variations when answering a series of questions
-Truth Drugs-cool or wat! But its still not proven effective
-Alcohol- a research showed that a drunkard is more likely to spill the beans in his state due to an effect of excessive talking and friendliness when drunk]
-Body language and facial expressions- which i will blog about NEXT!

Once a lie has been told there can be two alternative consequences: it may be discovered or remain undiscovered. And the scare bout lies is that is addictive and goes a full circle so do try to STOP OK!

and yeah this is to get to my main point that-TRUE FRIENDS ALWAYS TELL THE TRUTH no matter how harsh or bitter reality is (even the RED ONES should be told too), this will help your friend instead of letting him be in his small perceived fake short term happiness.
